Why is the expiration date important?

For cosmetic products, especially those with natural and organic ingredients, knowing the expiration date is key to ensuring the safety, effectiveness, and optimal performance of the product.

General shelf life

Most Galex-lab products have a general shelf life of 2 years from the date of manufacture . Upon receipt of the products, you can expect them to have at least 6 months of shelf life remaining , and often between 12 and 24 months , depending on the product and production batch.

Period After Opening (PAO)

Once opened, the shelf life of the product is typically between 3 and 24 months , which is clearly indicated by the open jar symbol (e.g. 6M, 12M) on the packaging. This information represents the time during which the product is safe and effective for use when stored properly.
